Jessie and Steve came to help with a clogged drain. They were able to get the cap off of a very old trap through persistence and creativity trying several different things without giving up. Other plumbers in the past wouldn't even attempt to get the cap off. They found two broken pipe snakes and were able to clear the drain! They saved me a lot of money and headache by getting this cap off! They were professional and got the job done!

I am one of the happiest people in the area. Rod came here to fix and clean my a/c. I’d used another company for years but I haven’t been impressed so after I asked around I called Bartlett and Steadman. Rob didn’t just clean the filters he also removed at least 3 gallons of disgusting black sticky tarry mold liquid from my a/c which is installed on the wall. I’ve been breathing that and now I have asthma.No one ever did that before. And then when another company messed up the installation of a toilet, Steve came by explained what had to be done and replaced as flange was newly ruined. And then there is Rose who answers the phone and makes things work with a smile I can hear over the phone. I’m grateful and relieved I have a company that I can trust.

We hunted around for a while looking at different companies on the north shore that could do a full furnace conversion for us to a high-efficiency furnace. Keep in mind, this is NOT a simple job. There was a lot of adaptation as our house was built in 1918 and the old furnace was not easy to deal with. We got a lot of quotes and although Barlett and Steadman didn't come out as the lowest cost - the people we talked to highly recommended them. So, we gave them a shot. We honestly couldn't be happier with the results. They completely gutted our oil-burning furnace and hot water heater and installed a combination high-efficiency boiler/furnace and holding tank. We've had a couple of minor complications along the way but they have been FANTASTIC at dealing with them in a timely manner. HIGHLY recommend the crew there. Very professional and VERY good quality workmanship.

So happy with the recent service provided by Rich of Bartlett & Steadman! The radiant heat has not worked for two years in our kitchen floor (its primary heat source) because other plumbers have not understood how to service radiant heat systems in houses fueled by steam heat (and the plumber who installed it via a contractor could not take on new clients). But Rich was on it, installed a new heat exchanger, replaced some other parts, flushed the system, and Bingo!

Always prompt, friendly, professional. Getting a plumber the same day or next day is amazing. I’ve worked with a few different employees at various times and they’re all happy to explain what they’re doing and what my options are for fixes. They’re not cheap, but it doesn’t feel like you’re being taken for a ride on price - I’ve been told when relevant that the best option is to order a simple replacement part myself because it’s more affordable. They always wear shoe covers when coming from outside which is very helpful for keeping the floors clean.
